When Boredom Strikes, Find A Solution.

My summer has been pretty boring to say the least, so I purchased a webcam a few weeks ago and as you can see I've been having a little fun with it. The good thing about it is that it didn't cost too much. Only thirty bucks at Target, which I consider a very good deal.

Let's catch up, shall we?

My last day of school was about three weeks ago. I spent my first official week of summer reminiscing over my first year of high school and self reflecting. I realized that I did the one thing that you should never do in school period. I slacked off and since I failed my honors biology class, I'm technically a freshman again. When I go back to school in the Fall I'll be in a freshman homeroom and everything. And the funny thing is at first I couldn't care less, but now reality happens to be setting in so it's more like 'wtf did I just do?' The worst part is the class was easy. Just notes and quizzes. I knew I could do the work, I just chose not to for some reason. All I can do now is focus on passing the class next go round.

Other than that small misfortune, my summer has consisted of being up until five in the morning watching TV and waking up at two in the afternoon to do it all over again. Saturday was actually the first day I stepped out of the house (besides Sundays for church) and it felt great. From there I spent the night with Yoshi (Devanie) and Anu on Monday, I felt better since I knew I wasn't the only one with no plans for the summer. I really need to get a summer job so I can keep myself busy though. The only problem is I never got my certificate of attendance before school ended so I can't get a job or my permit at the moment. I should've got my permit like seven months ago now that I think about it but summer so far is not what I expected it to be. I need to get out and do some things with my life.

8 year-old Gets DNA During Sister's Kidnap Attempt

A Pennsylvania family has a very good reason to let their 8-year-old son watch as much TV as he wants. What he learned by watching the tube may have saved his little sister's life.

The family says while on vacation a man grabbed Nathan Kuhns' 4-year-old sister and tried to pull her into his car. That's when Nathan attacked.

First he grabbed his sister's arm and pulled her away from the man, and then he turned back around and kicked and scratched him.

When police began questioning Nathan, he calmly explained that he had the suspect's DNA under his fingernails. When asked how he knew about DNA, Nathan explained he learned by watching NCIS on TV.

"Why did you scratch him?" asked a reporter.

"To get his DNA," said Nathan.

One of the many reasons I watch shows like CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, The First 48, ect. I actually read this story on another blog (thephobia.com) and it caught my attention because I love crime investigation. Who would've thought that some kid would actually be taking what they do in these shows into consideration?

Quick Life Lesson

First it was the mixtape and now I'm late on the video. It's been out for about a week now and I had no clue. I actually found it by accident but I'm glad I did. I love Asher Roth. I don't think I can stress that enough. There's just something about his voice and lyrics that has me captivated and I don't know why. But hey, I'm not complaining.

Relay for Life '10

Yesterday was Relay for Life and as always I had a good time. Hopefully next year I can bring more people to come out and experience it with me. The highlight of my night had to be when I saw my friend from middle school. His name is Nick Nutt and he was diognosed with caner last year and I was so glad to see that he was doing so much better. Even though he didn't remember me, which kind of hurt, we talked so I'm content. I could go on and on about what happened but all that really matters is that we celebrated the lives of the cancer survivors.

Here are some pics I took that night:

There were more but I didn't feel like uploading them.

Oh, I almost forgot about Julius aka Scooter. The son of one of my sister's friends. He was quiet at first but as the night progressed he began to open up more. And might I add he's very smart for a three year old. He knows his colors, how to spell them, and can say his alphabet. He's also very funny. I can't wait to see him again. It was a good night, can't wait to see what they have in store for next year.

Malk

"Sorry dad, my white friends." That never gets old.

My friend posted this video on his facebook and it reminded me how funny Julian Smith's channel was. I use to watch his videos all the time and for some reason I forgot all about it. If you liked this video you should check out his youtube channel.
